Oahu coast ride

Early morning we picked up our rental car and drove to our first mission: Haunama Bay. Since, somebody forgot his snorkeling gear there was not much else to see than a great view.

Next stop: Sandy Beach! There is a strong current, where swimming was not really an option. However, the surfers were quite brave out there….

For lunchtime we made it to Kailua. We were a bit disappointed about this little town. There is not so much happening there… But the fish tacos were amazing.

By the time we reached the NorthShore, we felt in love. It is a completely different atmosphere. Everything is so much laid back and it is all about Surfing (and Shrimps). Also our host is a professional surfer and has couples of boards in the apartment and in the car.

In the evening we were not so lucky, because firstly we were looking for turtles at Turtle Bay and secondly we wanted to try the Kua Aina Burger (stated as the best burger in Hawaii), but it was already close when we got there. So, there are two more missions we have to accomplish the next day…
