Hanoi – a charming city in Vietnam

Welcome to my blog about Vietnam.
We arrived in Hanoi after a long journey. We travelled for almost 24 hours! Stopover in Singapore and Bangkok. I was able to sleep, but not really fancy the food. The taxi took us to our lovely hotel! I must say it was a good deal for 20 USD and the employees are lovely. I like to be back in South East Asia.

We discovered the famous lake Hoan Kiėm and the temple.. The sun was not really shining, but it was extremely hot and humid. I am sure, we will get used it soon

The highlight of the day was definitly the dinner. In the beginning we were a bit sceptical, about trying streetfood already on the first day. It looks inviting, how the chef cooked the ricenoodles and we couldnt resist 😉 it tasted similar to the cambodian food, which we know from home. Very delicious.

After the dinner we went for a massage, which was not as we expected a Vietnamese Massage. I guess her main business was something else, main customers male tourists – if you know what i mean.

Time to sleep off the jetlag – and getting ready for the Halong Bay Trip the next day.
