World’s famous NorthShore

The NorthShore is just amazing. We had again a very packed day.
In the morning we went first on a small hike: Waimea Valley. This is the first time we actually paid for going on a hike and see a waterfalls. Never mind, it was a nice walk through the Flora and Fauna. There were not so many tourists because we were the first entering this valley (opening from 9 AM) at the end of the hike we had a nice refreshment right next to the falls.
It was a bit overpriced, but nice to see….

Next mission is again to spot these turtles which suppose to live here. We were twice on the wrong spot when we finally found the right place. Many green sea turtles were swimming and surfing in the water, very close to he beach. It didn’t take long, and the first 120kg turtle made the way out to the beach to get some rest. The volunteers were able to distinguish the turtles from few characteristic marks. Impressive how they analyze the very details. Few more buddies came to the beach to have some rest. I was very happy that this mission was accomplished.

Next Stop: Kua Aina Burger. Yes it was amazing. Very good recommendation of Sonja, which I can also recommend further. avocado burger is the best.

In the afternoon we also drove to the very western part of the island where you find isolated beaches and also a movie site of the series LOST.

In the evening we enjoyed the sunset at sunset beach and watched the surfers surfing 😉 and yes, we love Haleiwa !!!!
