Surfer village, Kuta Lombok, Indonesia

we came back to Kuta Lombok, where we have been 5 years before in 2010. Memories were not that great, due to my dengue fever. Anyway, new travel new adventure 🙂

Kuta Lombok is one of my favorite destination in Indonesia. It is not too big, not too small… you can ride anywhere with a motorbike, the beaches are beautiful and the surf supposed to be quite good.

We hired two bikes on our first day and drove along the beautiful coast. One beach was more beautiful than the other, so we almost forgot our mission for surfing 3 days all day long in Kuta. Gerupuk is one of the famous places for surfing. You can hire a boat with a boatman who brings you to one of the five spots. To get there is a bit hard to drive, especially if you carry the surfboards. Better rent the boards right there. We were quite lucky, the spot was almost empty and all the waves for ourselves. It did not work very well for me, and I was freezing again by 27 degrees water temperature.

The other days, we spent with Stand-up-Paddling, motorbiking, eating, watching surfers and checking out what has been changed. Again it was not much of chilling there… Just look at the pictures and you know what I mean 😉
