Swimming with whalesharks in Oslob/Philippines

a big dream has come true with a second try here in Oslob.
First time, we went to Oslob there was a big flood and the boat to the whalesharks were not operating.(see blog post before)
Second time, we tried again and arrived in Oslob in the evening.
We went to the same Guesthouse again.

Eva was very lovely and took us to the food-night-market in Oslob. Please note, there is nothing else there. Unfortunately, not even one good restaurant. On the street we got some nice bbq chicken and pork. In the pension house Eva brought us rice and we still got a nice unexpected dinner.

The next day, we had to wake up very early in order to see the whalesharks. with a tricylce we went directly to the briefing center, where we paid 1000 php. Usually, the drivers want to take you to a dive shop where you pay extra. So, always go directly to the briefing center!!!

Then the actualy swimming, snorkelling and diving with the whalesharks was really a one-time-in-a-life experience. I have never thought that these massive whalesharks are swimming just few centimenters next to you. Of course, they were feeded by the boatmen with fish. There were around 7 of them and not that much tourists. I was very impressed how it all worked. For around 30 minutes we were just snorkelling around them and of course taking pictures.
