Back to my second home – Adelaide

Helloooo my dearest Blog and its followers,

The weekend from the 9th-11th August 2013 was very special to me.
I went back to Adelaide (Australia), after 8,5 years. Somehow, it doesn’t feel such a long time, on the other side I feel terrible old.
It was such a good time I had in Adelaide, meeting all these nice people, made some international friends, studied English and spent half n year of my life with the person I actually got my name from. (old mila :))

And this year I went back to Adelaide, the charming little city in Southern Australia, meeting my “family”. A lot of people can’t understand why I love Adelaide, but it seems something special for everybody who spent few months in 2004/2005. I have such good memories going out to the “elephant-pub”, hanging around at Glenelg Beach, drinking Smoothies at Boost’s, eating cheap French Fries from Hungry Jacks or spent lunchtime in China Town or the Market. And that’s what I wanted to repeat this weekend.

Cam, my hostbrother, and his girlfriend brought me first to the Market and China Town. I had some delicious Korean Food (I remember this was the best)
Saturdays we went to Glenelg for a walk on the Jetty, some windows shopping in Rundle Mall and with a little detour at Marions Shopping Center Mila and Mila were exhausted about this long day. The evening at Glenelg made this day perfect. Sunday, we went for a drive in the country side and tasted some real Australian Pie. The weekend went by extremely fast, however totally worth it. It is always nice to be back in Adelaide, although my schoolfriends are spread around the world again: some in Hong Kong (See them probably most often, Ricky & Chris, Eric) in Japan, my lovely friend Selina in Berlin, Monika almost in the next town and of course Gam who I have also met a couple of times  times in Bangkok and Zurich.

And also a big thanks to Hung, our Vietnamese friend, living in Adelaide who came spontanously to the Airport to say hi and bye. It was wonderful seeing you again after such a long time.
Everybody has  moved on, but the memories stay 🙂

in love

Mila
