Bicycle Tour in the rice paddies of Hoi An

Wake Up Timer was early – very early! But of course we didnt miss the nice breakfast buffet from our probably most luxurious hotel we have ever stayed in. Afterwards we walked to the Hotel where our friends Philippe and Mel were staying. A taxi brought us to the Office of the prebooked tour where we could pick up the bicycles.

The first stop was a Pagoda, where he explained us little bit about buddhism. It was quite hot, although the clouds covered the sky. This was probably the reason why Mila thought she doesnt have to put sunscream on, which obviously got her a burned back. The cycling was nice and not too exhausting. Our guide screamed his favourise sentences all the time: don’t hurry, don’t worry – be happy. All the time! 😉 we made another stop at another beach, where we got a nice coconut drink. We also visited a herbal village where dozens of different herbs were planted. On the way we always saw some waterbuffalos eating or swimming. (is this the only thing they are doing?)
The trip ended with a delicious and big lunch and a footmassage which we didnt expect at all. In the afternoon it was pourring like hell, but this reminds us that it is actually rainy season and back home it it raining and additonal its cold. Here in Vietnam, it was rather refreshing for most of the people.
