Monserrat (Spain)

We decided to take the chance of the sunny weather with a daytrip to Montserrat. Montserrat i located around 1,5 hours by train from Barcelona. It is well known for the picturesque multi-peaked mountain. With a rack-railway you get to a little touristic village which is surround of these funny looking rocks. Boring people stay at this village … active people take another rack-railway to go up hiking. There are different trails.. the longer you walk the less people were with you. I think we made a good choice 😉 After each edge the rocks and cliffs look different again. It is still a miracle for me how such mountains impressively stick up in the middle of nowhere.

I can recommend this to everybody who has another additional day in Barcelona and excited for a daytrip.
If you are into climbing this is probably THE place to go in Spain
