last days in Kuta

it was an adventurous journey from Canggu to Kuta with the Motorbike, loaded with backpack and Surfboard. if the locals can do that, we can too….

In Kuta we have booked two hotels. One is called the Arena Hotel at Poppies 1) and we changed our mind after we saw the reviews in the internet which says: ‘doctor aftwards was more expensive, cause I got beaten by bedbugs’ or ‘staff stole all my valuables, watch this youtube movie….’
so better safe than sorry, we booked another hotel, which was called the niche. very new, cute hotel at Legian Street, 15minutes away from thr beach. This however, was not a problem because we still had our motorbike for 40’000 IDR.
so after check-in the hotel we went for a short surfsession. Afterwards we went by motorbike to Uluwatu. it was quite a way, but what I saw there was certainly worth it. this surfspot is famous because you can walk to the line up and at low tide it is very spectacular watching surfers there as it is very close. few guys came out with scratches… yay. after a short swim and a bocari sweat we went back. On the way we stopped at Jimbaran for sunset. it was personally one of my highlights on this trip. for dinner we went for a yammie pizza in thr ‘little italy’ at kuta square.

the next day was rather layed back. Wischiro got fever and stomache ache… so I also chilled around at thr hotel pool and took care of my darling. It was also a good opportunity to get by surfboard painted.

thursday, wischiro was alright again and we wanted to go surfing. unfortunately there was no swell at all, so we decided for a little paddle session. we paddled and paddled to do some exersice. close to Legian Beach there were some waves, which i tried to catch… my board was not waxed very well so i slipped and had my fins scratched my ass, which turned afterwards to blue, purple, yellow :-S nice session, very few waves but me scratching my ass off… LOL. this day went over fast as any others, maybe because we went shopping again in the surfer outlets!! mmmhhhh….

Friday and last days programm: surfing and getting tanned again.
surfing session was awesome. I caught some great waves at Melastis. I decided to go surfing without the lycra to get tanned even more. it was that great that we stayed around 3 hours in the ocean and got burnt 🙂 what a surprise at luchtime surfing even if it is end of the holiday. But it was very fun also because there were not so many people in the water.
Friday night: sushi time at Ryoshis in Kuta (In directon tuban). it was raining that strongly we had to take a taxi. afterwards we had another last balinese massage at Poppies 2. afterwards i slept straight away, I am relaxed but also exhausted from the holidays (which is a good sign)

This holidays were excellent.
