3 days nature pure

Well, first thing in advance I am still alive.

The three days tour through the jungle/amazon was a great experience. We actually didnt know what was expecting us… Where are going to sleep? Can we shower? We didnt even know what to bring…

So at the first day we found out we need a moskito net. Yes i have one (at home though) so we had to buy it. Flashlight? Well, iphone counts too i hoped. Repellente? Not enough…
Yellow fever vaccine? Ouuupsss!
Yes you see we were not prepared to this jungle trip and excited whats expecting us:

Day One: we saw the meeting of the rivers. It was not very spectacular … Just two rivers with two different colors meeting each other :p anyway, the next stop was at a ecological center where we made a small walk to see “seerosen” (dont know the word in english) afterwards we went by boat around 60km on the amazon to our lodge. On the way we met a cayman and a “fuultier” we took some pictures holding those animals in our hands…

Back to the lodge: it was floating and very basic. No electricity (oh my god how do we survive?) Shower&Toilet quite dodgy and we saw already a cucaracha! (I needed to pee – urgently) the lunch was alright… Fish, rice, potato, cucumber/onion salad. This was the standard brazilian food… So quite used to it and not a big surprise. Later we went fishing… It was quite funny and interesting. I was more laughing than concetrated on my piranhas 🙂 we caught 2 piranhas and two other fish. Maybe you heard about the fish which will eat you from inside if you pee – exactly those are also living in the amazon and were caught by us. (so i dont recommend you to pee in the amazon) after the fishing we tried to spot and catch alligators. Appearently we saw some -however, i am not quite sure if I really saw the red/yellow eyes.
Back in the lodge we had the challenge to eat in the dark. (it was chicken – so we just had to make sure not eating bones) we went to bed early, because there not was not much to do anyway in the dark. Showering impossible and too afraid

Day two: we visited the natives house. Like in the books and movies they were dressed with this skirts and leaves and painted on the face. They showed us a dance. Like always if you visit the natives: they were dancing in a circle, made some weird songs and invited us to dance with them at the end. Afterwards there was that usual souvenir marked which didnt attract us so much either … 😉
The afternoon acticity was caneoing (kanu fahren?) it was exhausting and very hot, so we spontanously decided to go on an island with a white sand beach. From there we saw a beautiful sunset.

Day three: after the rather hot and noisy night we went for the jungle walk. We saw tarantles, various flora and fauna. It was very interesting…
