Hike & Surf

This day was full of action… It was the first time it was very sunny and hot since the beginning of our holiday. Of course we took the chance to get up early in the morning and went for a hike. The trail brought us to peaceful beaches – real hidden gems. Lopes Mendes, however, was crowded with tourists. After the three hours walk we were still hungry for some more actions so we rented a surfboard with classy green/yellow brasilian colours. There were some nice waves, not too big. Unfortunately it got a bit claustrophobic.

At 3.30 pm we took the boat back to Abrao, where we had to hurry to get our backpacks, took a quick showe, ate a small burger – everything in one hour. An of course say bye to our brazilian mama christina (overnativa hostel highly recommended on ilha Grande)

At 5 was our catamaran back to Angra dos Reis, where we intend on catching the bus sao paulo. This plan didnt work out. No vaga = nothing available. Destiniy brought us to Paraty. At 10 PM we arrived in this remarkable place, where it appearently was hard to find a hotel. And our other concern – we really need a bus ride to Sao Paulo asap! The tourist information guy brought us to a hotel,190 reis but at least something….

We met a lady from london in the hotel and she brought us to downtown. She was extremely obsessed of Paraty “i have been travelling to many places in the world, but paraty is the most BEAUTIFUL area” *ugh* we were just hungry and took the first opportunity to grab a burger.
