How to Have Fun in a Hotel Room
So you’re away from home, either on your own or with friends. You’re in your hotel room, and you’re bored, bored, bored. What to do?
Steps
1. Make a hat out of toilet paper.
2. Take a bubble bath, moisturize your skin, mask your face, tweeze your eyebrows
3. Read a good book
4. Read a bad book 😉
5. One fellow suggests: “I use the stationary to write notes to little kids I know. They love getting mail. One ‘child’ is now close to 30 and she tells me how special she felt when she’d get my mail.”
6. Use the hotel’s note pad or stationery to write something lascivious as if it happened in your room during your stay. Go crazy. Bear down hard so it can be seen on the second sheet. Dispose of the top sheet later, leaving only the imprint to tease the next guest.
7. Sleep.
8. Call someone you haven’t talked to in awhile
9. Take along a DVD you haven’t seen and watch it, if you have a player. Load up TV shows on your iPod Video.
10. Have a pillow fight. (This works better if you’re not alone.)
11. Bring along a game, something that doesn’t take up much room; a deck of cards works, or a cribbage board, or a small boxed game like Carcassone.
12. Bring a pre-printed sheet of address labels, and write postcards to everyone you know.
13. Google the city you’re staying in; find every single tourist attraction they have. Visit the small and the strange. (Granted, this involves leaving the hotel room…)
14. You can have bathtub races with the soap wrappers, cardboard covers for water glasses, and the foil packets of coffemate. Depending on the hotel you may not find all of these, but it can be amusing to see not how fast they go but how long until they sink.
15. Get on the internet if you brought a laptop with you.
Warnings
Never mess up or break anything in the hotel room.
I specially love Nr. 1 and 14! I definitely try that out when I am in my next holidays 😉
