27th September 06, LA to Avila Beach

Dear Friends, How s everything going?

We arrived yesterday in Los Angeles after a long long flight. The Pastas for dinner turned out to be a mistake. I got an upset stomach. Anyway, at 9 p.m. when we arrived we checked in for our premium car. Uhhh… awesome. We got a Buick, with which we drove to our HILTON Hotel.After a small walk we went to bed (which were exremly small) quite early.Today we drove along to coast and passed several exciting villages. First of all we stopped at Malibu Beach. Beautiful Beach(boys), nice shops and awful chocolate muffins for Breakfast … Next stop was Santa Barbara. Special architecture makes this city cute. Shopping in Rip Curls was a MUST for us. Looking for a grocery store was a bigger problem though… Shoe shop, garden shop, Beauty Saloon everything but no Grocery Store… So we drove on heading to Avila Beach… A small village, friendly people and broken oven was not what we expected. Surprisingly we could bargain the hotel and finally also could bake our Pizza-s. At the sundeck we saw the sunset and enjoyed a beer with astonishing view over the ocean. Thats it for the moment… Tomorrow we re heading to San Fransico. The wine for the dinner tomorrow is already in the trunk of our car… smile.
